JON

Jon Thor is a strongman, who loves this game and is obsessed with the pursuit of strength. Finding his way into a spit and sawdust bodybuilding gym 8 years ago presented the unique experience of being taught by multiple bodybuilding World Champions, who he learned huge amounts from before eventually moving into the world of Strongman under Tyson Morrissy 5 years ago.

Jon Thor has been coaching for 6 years and competing for 5 at both local and national level in the UK. He has big aspirations for himself as both an athlete and a coach, continually developing and adapting in both fields.

​

He has found his passion for coaching varying across all levels of skill, from introducing people to their first programme in a commercial gym, to handling athletes at world championships. He gains energy and excitement from everyones strength and performance journey, loving the pursuit of their performance goals and maximising their own potential. 

Applying a blended approach of prehab and tested strength protocols into his client's strength blocks ensures that athletes can push when the time is right and also keep their recovery, resilience and athletic ability a part of their programme.

Nothing excites Jon more than seeing the fire and passion ignite in his own athletes, remembering through all of their goals the reason we all started lifting in the first place - because we love it.
